I'm looking to use a Pi5 CM with the official IO board and would like to re-use a 4TB 2.5" SSD I have but connect it to the M.2 slot (rather than SATA ->USB) on the IO board using an adapter. This will let me keep everything internal in a 3D printed case and still have all the external connectors on the IO board available.
Has anyone used such a thing and share their experience? I've found a couple of converters on AliExpress with multiple SATA connectors (4/5/6) but reading some of the reviews on them doesn't fill me with a great deal of confidence.
