Troubleshooting • Pi4 Bookworm(lite) BT auto connects then disconnects

HI,

I have a Pi4 with Bookworm Lite O/S loaded. I used bluetoothctl to pair and trust two different BT headphones. One of the headphones works perfectly; as soon as I turn it on, it connects automatically, and stays connected. The other headphone connects automatically, then immediately within milliseconds, disconnects. I only turn on one headphone at a time. If I use bluetoothctl to manually connect this headphone, it works; unfortunately this installation is headless, so I don't have the option to manually connect unless I go to my PC and do it by SSH - a P.I.T.A.!

While running bluetoothctl, I can see the connect/disconnect. Each time it disconnects, I press the BT button on the headphone, and it connects again, only to disconnect immediately.

Code:

pi@rPi4-Player:~ $ bluetoothctlAgent registered[CHG] Controller 2C:CF:67:4A:C9:1F Pairable: yes[DEL] Transport /org/bluez/hci0/dev_00_16_94_0C_4A_81/sep1/fd1[DEL] Endpoint /org/bluez/hci0/dev_00_16_94_0C_4A_81/sep1[CHG] Device 00:16:94:0C:4A:81 ServicesResolved: no[CHG] Device 00:16:94:0C:4A:81 Connected: yes[CHG] Device 00:16:94:0C:4A:81 Connected: no[CHG] Device 00:16:94:0C:4A:81 Connected: yes[CHG] Device 00:16:94:0C:4A:81 Connected: no[CHG] Device 00:16:94:0C:4A:81 Connected: yes[CHG] Device 00:16:94:0C:4A:81 Connected: no[CHG] Device 00:16:94:0C:4A:81 Connected: yes[CHG] Device 00:16:94:0C:4A:81 Connected: no[CHG] Device 00:16:94:0C:4A:81 Connected: yes[CHG] Device 00:16:94:0C:4A:81 Connected: no[CHG] Device 00:16:94:0C:4A:81 Connected: yes[CHG] Device 00:16:94:0C:4A:81 Connected: no[CHG] Device 00:16:94:0C:4A:81 Connected: yes[CHG] Device 00:16:94:0C:4A:81 Connected: no[bluetooth]# connect 00:16:94:0C:4A:81Attempting to connect to 00:16:94:0C:4A:81[CHG] Device 00:16:94:0C:4A:81 Connected: yes[NEW] Endpoint /org/bluez/hci0/dev_00_16_94_0C_4A_81/sep1[NEW] Transport /org/bluez/hci0/dev_00_16_94_0C_4A_81/sep1/fd2Connection successful[CHG] Device 00:16:94:0C:4A:81 ServicesResolved: yes
Of note: This was working just fine when I used Bullseye O/S, it only started on a fresh install of Bookworm.
So, is there maybe some new file in Bookworm that I'm supposed to edit that would make Bluetooth automatically connect for both headsets - as it did by default on Bullseye?
