So I have a pi 4 for more than 3 years. I never had problems with it. A few days ago I connected it to a Xiaomi charger and it smelled like smoke. I visually inspected the board and it doesn't seem damaged. When I plug it I don't get an video output or Ethernet activity (I mean the LEDs). So have you got any tips to check whether the damage is repairable and also if there is a way to refurbish it or recycle it ![♻️]()
I am asking these questions, because it is the worst time to upgrade to the pi 5. Because of the ram shortage, everything is expensive. Thank you in advance, George (a humble fan of raspberry pis and technology in general)
