This is a question about on line streaming of radio stations and some issues with that. Sorry it might end up a long and detailed post.

I am using a Pi Music Box and have been for about 5 years. In the last couple of weeks my Music Box started to crash and hang up. I swapped to my spare Pi. Still the same. I did a fresh install on a new memory card and ran into the same issue. So it is not a "fault" as such but a weird issue trying to stream one particular radio station.

While investigating this I was disappointed to find the Music Box project seems to have stalled and there have been no further developments to it. Which is why I am keen for readers of this topic to try the streams I am going to post, on other streaming software ad let me know the results.

The issue I had turned out to be this one stream that has now failed (I think the source has changed) crashes the Pi. That stream had been set in Music box to be the startup stream, so it was stuck in a loop, boot up, the start up stream crashed it, so it re booted and just kept repeating.

So, here is the stream that caused it to crash. https://stream.rcast.net/asx/218312

If you dig inside the ASX file it resolves to http://streaming501.radionomy.com:80/ClassicRockFlorida

Either used to work on Music Box, but it appears a couple of weeks ago they changed the stream providers.

So it is a mystery why a now dead stream crashes Music box causing it to re boot rather than just not playing.

Now if you have got this far, I need some help finding the new streams. If you go to https://classicrockflorida.com/ You will see there are 3 streams that you can play from their website. Of course playing from a website is no good for the Music box, I need the actual stream address.

So I have found the new stream for Studio A is https://streaming.live365.com/a06375
And for Studio B it is https://streaming.live365.com/a60314

Both of these work on Music Box.

But the International stream, the best I have found is https://webplayer.fastcast4u.com/classi ... rspectrum/

That works on a browser bringing up a simple player that requires you to push the play button. That obviously won't work on a headless media player. So I am still searching for a stream for that if someone more clever than me can find one.

Sorry for long post.
