I am a complete beginner using raspberry pi, but i am building a picker/placer robot for college that will be ran using a plc for the robot and raspberry pi 5, camera module 3 and touch display 2 for picking up the color and number on each block for sorting into corresponding boxes. The blocks will be orange/blue/green two of each so eg. orange with 1's and 2's. how can i get the camera to pick up the color and number and display the information on the touch screen? i also would like if possible to have a start/ restart button on the touch screen as well for the robot. Do i need to but the code directly onto the programming section on the pi desktop or somewhere else, ive read that i will need to install opencv for this to work how do i install this onto the raspberry pi, at a later stage the pi will have to work with the PLC also. Nay tips or advise would be greatly appreciated as i have no idea and maybe some coding for this all to work together.
