[RASPBERRY PI 5 BOOT ERROR]
I am using raspberry pi 5 2gb via sdcardboot. I previously used this as a pihole and months ago booted it from kali linux (now its rpi os trixie distro) . When i try to boot from my sdcard it doesnt load and boot
Heres what is visible from the outside:
a. 1 long 1 short stat led flash
b. fans are spinning irregularly ( heatsink with fan addon)
c. hdmi has output in boot screen but goes off completely when loading the os
Heres what I tried based on the net
1. Used different boot media (usb flashdrive) and sd cards
2. Used different power supply aside from the official 27 W adapter
3. Flashed EEPROM BOOT from rpi imager app (also formatted as FAT32)
4. Used a monitor to show boot screen
5. Tried diff RPI os from the imager
From #4 the boot screen shows the logs before it boots (sdcard not found when usb boot and sdcard unplugged) . Same thing happens when sdcard card boot. But the thing is when it loads the entire OS on the boot devices, the display goes off and it flashes 1 long and 1 short (stat led) , same thing when i dont connect the display but use ethernet for some reason.
Its very frustrating as I have used this before as a pihole and it worked great but when i connected the ethernet cable i lost ssh ( im on headless setup) , and the pi refuses to boot ever since. I encountered this problem before but somehow fixed by flashing the bootloader image. Now it simply doesnt work anymore, I tried 1-5 multiple times, yet to no avail.
Am I somehow missing something? I've been on it for almost a week and cant get it to work
