Graphics, sound and multimedia • Small audio summing amp ?

I'm planning to make a keyboard MIDI sound module for RPi5, based on what this guy did: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebPyMOJnA4A .

I managed to get it working on RPi4 with some adjustments, but it failed due to latency being too high. I plan to try again on RPi 5 and an audio HAT.

If the project succeeds, I'll want to add an audio input to be summed in hardware with the audio output, to allow daisy-chaining my keyboards and module, so I don't need a mixer on stage. I'll also want a volume control on the RPi's audio output (but not the input.)

I need it to run off the RPi's 5V (or 3.3V) power and fit onto a PCB atop the audio HAT.

Any pointers to suggested parts or tutorials would be greatly appreciated! I do know in theory how an inverting op-amp works, and that I don't want the output inverted, and basically how to sum inputs, but I'm not an EE and I'd appreciate a design created by someone with experience.
