I am new to linux kernel. I am following the build guide as mentioned in the link https://www.raspberrypi.com/documentati ... l#building to build the linux kernel. I built using the native build. But after installing the kernel and reboot. The system just stopped at the command prompt, no desktop loaded. Even I manually launched the desktop by startx, lots of services and drivers did not load.
I am building the same kernel as my RPI5 which is 6.12.47 (stable_20250916 tag), I think that would be an easy step but did not succeed. looks like i did not config the parameters correctly.
Would anyone help to give me some hints how can I just build the same kernel that is not being deployed on RPI5 version 6.12.47? or do you encounter this problem as well? Appreciate your help.
