Troubleshooting • RP5 4GB Keyboard drop off

Hi, I have just got myself an RP 5 with 4 GB and am impressed by the way the machine has changed since the days of my sadly defunct model B. Initial set up with an Asus 1920 X 1080 colour screen was good, the keyboard worked, the wifi worked and quickly offered an update to the software on the card which I accepted. However, after some efforts to get the screen better matched to the machine, the key board started to drop off. It was suggested that shut down and re-start was a solution. This was tried and the keyboard then worked for a little while. The length of time the keyboard would work got shorter and shorter until it reached 'not at all'. Other keyboards were tried but to no avail. The original keyboard works fine on the local PC so there is no issue there as do the other keyboards I have tried.

This sounds to me like a software issue, but I have no clue where to start debugging it. Your suggestions would be welcome. I have sent a note to the vendor about the problem but have yet to receive any kind of response.

Regards

Pete
