Advanced users • Problem with CM5 and custom carrier board (DSI display not working)

Hello everyone,

I’m working on a project with Raspberry Pi CM4 and CM5, using a custom carrier board.
The board routes the display connection to DSI1_C_N, DSI1_C_P, and the two data lanes DSI1_D0_N/P and DSI1_D1_N/P.

With the CM4, the display works correctly. However, when I use the CM5, the display remains black. In some cases, I can see the backlight turning on, but no image appears.

Hardware: Custom carrier board + CM4/CM5

Display: Standard DSI panel (works fine with CM4)

Issue: With CM5 the panel never shows an image (only backlight sometimes)

Has anyone encountered similar issues with the CM5 DSI interface on custom boards?
Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
