Hi all,
I recently bought a Raspberry Pi 5 from ThePiHut. I flashed Raspberry Pi OS onto an SD card following YouTube tutorials. I have intermediate Linux knowledge, but I don’t own a monitor, so my plan was to set it up headless via SSH from my laptop.
The problem is I can’t find the Pi’s IP address. I scanned my network, but nothing shows up.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this or confirm if the board is working?
Thanks in advance.

The problem is I can’t find the Pi’s IP address. I scanned my network, but nothing shows up.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
- Enabled SSH on the SD card (added `ssh` file to the boot partition)
Tried connecting via Wi-Fi and Ethernet
Switched to different networks, including my phone’s hotspot
Scanned the network each time, but still no IP
Green LED stays on constantly (not blinking)
Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this or confirm if the board is working?
Thanks in advance.
