I’m relatively new to the Raspberry Pi world and eager to dive into my first meaningful project—something useful and fun. Lately, I’ve been thinking about combining tech with nature, so I’m considering building a smart garden monitor using a Pi. My idea is to set up sensors for soil moisture, temperature, and sunlight; then have the system send notifications to my phone or log the data to a dashboard. Ideally, I’d love to include automated watering when the soil gets too dry.
Has anyone tried something like this? I noticed projects like live weather displays, transport information boards, or even bird feeders with cameras, which are all awesome
