Hello everyone.
I installed a default version of RPI OS 64-bit on my RPI 5. I also have a Waveshare 7-inch HDMI 1024x600 display that I want to use with my RPI (though I believe the display might be a knockoff).
Everything works good, the touchscreen is ok, but there is one major problem with on-screen keyboard: it is simply unusable due to its small size (see screenshots). I set the resolution to 1024x600, tried different settings and resolutions, but it didn't fix this issue. One interesting thing is that if I connect to the RPI via VNC and then turn off my HDMI display, the screen resolution on the RPI changes and the keyboard scales correctly. Though if I manually set this resolution on the RPI, the keyboard still looks small.
Has anybody encountered the same issue? Can anyone tell me what should I do about it? Tried multiple options but none of them worked.
Specs:
OS: Linux pi 6.12.25+rpt-rpi-2712 #1 SMP PREEMPT Debian 1:6.12.25-1+rpt1 (2025-04-30) aarch64 GNU/Linux
Display: Waveshare 7-inch HDMI 1024x600 (probably a knockoff)
Squeekboard version: 1-21-0
Thanks in advance!
