Networking and servers • Raspberry Pi 3 as a Wifi client (station) and access point (ap) from the single built-in wifi

I have been unable to find updated information on how to run the Raspberry pi as both wifi client and access point.
I am looking to create a setup similar to the one describe her:
Raspberry Pi 3 as a Wifi client (station) and access point (ap) from the single built-in wifi

But I would like to keep networkmanager as the controlling part, if possible.
