I've been experiencing a weird issue with a couple of Pi 1s (a 1B and 1B+) and a couple of USB Wi-Fi adapters (an EDUP-branded MT7601 and an Edimax-branded RTL8192).
Both of these have worked normally up until recently, with the usual caveats of turning off power management, etc. Recently, however, both devices have become borderline unusable under Bookworm due to extremely high latency (pings to local servers measure 105-115ms consistently). Running the same devices in the exact same locations under Bullseye gives normal latency (5-15ms consistently). SSH is unpleasant and SFTP is downright unusable due to the extremely high latency.
I haven't been able to track this down to any specific configuration issue other than running the latest version of Bookworm. Testing the latency on the built-in Wi-Fi on a Pi Zero running Bookworm shows no issues, so it seems to be something related to the USB adapters specifically.
Wondering if anyone else has seen something similar or has any suggestions.
