I think it's worth to share what I recently found.
During recent data transfer between two HDDs connected to USB3.0 ports I had completely no issue when coping from disk 1 to disk 2, but I couldn't transfer data back from disk 2 to disk 1.
I thought that my disk 2 is gone, but connected to USB2.0 and I was able to copy data back just fine (but slowly)
I have my rasp 4 from the beginning of this model and today after few years I wanted to take a look if I have cold joints or maybe reflow them.
I was suppried by few (like 4 or 5) solder balls sticked to USB data joint on PCB![Shocked :shock:]()

After removing them with tooth pick both ports work fine with no error when coping
