Hi, I'm continuing to research this but would appreciate some pointers.
I am using:
Pi 4B 1GB
Raspberry Pi USB-C power supply
32GB m.2 SATA SSD
256GB m.2 SATA SSD
2x m.2 SATA to USB 3.0 adapters
The pi boots fine from the 32GB SSD using either adapter. Once booted, I can attach the 256GB SSD using the other adapter and it appears to be recognised normally: I want to upgrade from the 32GB to the 256GB SSD, by copying the 32GB SSD. I attempted to do this by using dd on my Ubuntu desktop PC, but the pi will not boot from it (with either adapter): I noticed that the bootloader is 4 years old, but if that's the problem, why is it ok booting from one SSD but not the other?
I also tried using Raspberry Pi Imager to set up the 256GB SSD with a fresh copy of Raspberry Pi OS Lite (64 bit) but the Pi won't boot from that either, same messages.
Any hints or ideas please?
