So I'm not hating on the bookwork and wpa_suplicant 'thing' but I have a genuine problem: I have 22 pi zeros doing their thing over wifi, and my ISP is replacing my wifi router... I need to move the wifi settings on Bookworm. Things I cannot do:
* connect an ethernet cable
* connect a serial cable
* know my new wifi connection details ahead of time
* log in after I get my new router
* attach a keyboard and monitor
* reimage each device with a standard config after getting one to work (I'd rather not lose the stuff going on on each device)
I still have 24 hours of flakey current connectivity, so I can write and deploy some code that will mimic the old suplicant activity (look for a file, call some config, delete the file and reboot)
I did find this comment
viewtopic.php?p=2160591#p2160591
Is that it?
I'm not sure how to test (given I only have a single shot once the ISP guy has gone... I could try a mobile hotspot?
The assumption that country regs haven't changed for my ISP is valid![Smile :)]()
Any help much appreciated
